Im trying to source some Silicone bronze screws.
They are described as being DIN 97 - (any idea what this means)

The screws need to be flat headed suitable to be contersunk with a shank that is equal in length to the actual thread.

Sizes 8mm x 60mm 8 x 80mm and 8 x 100mm

Can anyone point me in the right direction for these?

many thanks

Those are awfully big screws! With what are you going to drive them? You'll need an awfully strong wrist, and the poor sod who has to back them out in a couple of decades time is going to really be up against it! If you can get to the other side of the pieces that you are joining, bolts would be a lot easier on both of you.
Peter.

Tritonofnor - Many thanks for the information. GTC were extremeley helpful and have sorted me out with a keenly priced deal and free delivery. A refreshing 'customer' experience for me. I would thoroughly recommend them.

Peterduck...

Its quite a big boat - 20 m and they have been specifically requested by the Yard where we are refitting. However very hard to find in Spain.

Also try Anglia Stainless at Stanton near Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk - they took over a distributor of Silicon Bronze screws and are competitive. Tel 01359 250103

I use a bit and brace, with the bit part being a screwdriver bit, specially made for the brace, drives very big screws with ease.
