Sigma 33/Sigma 36 freeboard

Can Sigma owners advise on the freeboard of a Sigma 33 and the Sigma 36. We are potentially looking at buying one and HWMBO tells me that the freeboard on the 33 is no higher than the 36, but I am not convinced! After going to view both I hopped quite happily out of the 36 but needed 2 hands to get me down from the 33 onto the pontoon - doesn't bode well for mooring when there is just the two of us! Advice would be very welcome.

Sigma Freeboard

The freeboard of a 36 is greater than a 33, however you may have noticed that the height of pontoons above the water does vary from location to location. That is why we carry a beer crate.

Thanks for that - interestingly we were looking at a 36 and a 33 at the same marina, on almost opposite pontoons. The best thing is for me to learn to steer the boat to the mooring and OH can "step off"!

In that case you are looking at the wrong category of yacht designs. The Sigmas are cruiser/racers, a more sedate pure cruiser would suite you better.
