The American Defence Agency used to produce a universal plotting sheet for the reduction of sextant sights known as VP-OS in 100 page blocks, Where can one buy these or similar in the UK?

Thanks

I bought one from Kelvin Hughes in Southampton. They're in pads of 25, are about 40cm x 40cm ( quite big ) and have lattitude lines, a compase rose and the scale printed in the corner. They have sight reduction forms on the back of each page and I think they are published by Imray.

Or you can download them from the USNO site and then copy them

I've not got the precise address to hand but I will post it over the weekend if no other helpful soul has not done so before then.

They are easy enough to make yourself, I could let you have some copies of each version of mine if you like?

For what it's worth : -
The Imray forms are not that good as the compass rose does not touch the horizontal latitude lines and this makes the drawing of the longitude lines rather inaccurate. I have a virtually unused pad of these which you are very welcome to if you send me your address.
On the other hand the U K Hydrographic Office print a copy (?) of the US form which is very good.

I bought mine from Kelvin Hughes when they were in the Minories, London: try them in Soton ?
I now very carefully photocopy the middle bit onto A3.
Note well the "very carefully", beware taking stuff off the net or scanning etc. as there is a lot of distortion and this leads to very large inaccuracies.
Good luck

Thanks that is what I am after - an A3 size american style. They do not appear on anybodys lists - do you think the hydrographic office still makes them?

Spoke to UKHO, they still make them - however they quote £24 for a block of 25 sheets!

Kelvin Hughes think it is £5-25 which sounds a bit more sensible.

I am still trying to clarify this.
