Hi
The control panel on my bowthruster keeps switching off.
To turn on there are two "on" buttons I press simultaneously.
Until recently it would stay 'live' for at least 10 minutes. Now it switches itself off within 2 seconds. In this state the port starboard thrust buttons are disabled.

I am going on board later today and will check the battery voltage. Maybe the dead switch got kicked off again. Is there anything else I should check?

Thankyou

S

Check for poor connection(s), particularly if you have an extension cable between the control panel and the main thruster control box. Apart from that ...................... I don't know!

Thanks all.
Measured battery today. 12.59v
Same reading at the thruster.
Battery is about a year old.
Recent storms broke my Rutland wind genny so the batteries are a bit low but not, I would have thought, low enough to stop the thruster.
The engine was running when I had this issue the other day so alternator was putting juice in. All of which suggests it is the panel.

New panel looks about £120 ish but the position is on the side coming which is exposed and not perfect positioning.

I guess the next step is to look at the back of the panel and clean up the connections.

I am tempted just to fit a momentary rocker switch at the helm (with a dead switch).
But the jobs are stacking up. What to do.

Can anyone source a panel for a bit less than £120?
