Then again I guess you dropped your car off and it was taken away then you were ushered into the private area of a certain british builder and had a glass of fizz shoved in your hand...but you have to hand it to them they do it well

Dropped our car off? Everyone gets collected from the airport these days. Do keep up /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Yeah and if your lucky you get collected in a Fiat 500....... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif much cooler than a Merc or Rangey /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

That big flybridge thing was an Aicon which I believe has been around for over a year to be sold, wrong boat, wrong market but for someone there is more to come off it I am sure and would make a reasonable med boat for the right money, flybridge is a bit skew in layout

[/ QUOTE ]

apart the flybridge layout how wrong and different is the Aicon from any Princess or any other Flybridge in the market, ok it is build for the sunshine, but so are FL, PR and SS so IMO it is the indivual detais which make the difference here

So was SIBS the last hurrah for the UK boating industry?

[/ QUOTE ]Which is more important the impact on the boating industry, or the impact on boat owners?

Owners can still enjoy their current boats, just don't bother trading up for a while (seems to have become a habit). Perhaps some refurbs and improvements instead of new boats. The cost of the "extra ciricular" activities around boating can be paired back without reducing ones time on the water (eg eat on board instead of eating out in every port, less throttle, shorter passages, etc). The R&R value is still there if you already have access to a boat.
