SIBS has changed...

Coming back from the sibs yesterday I noticed the taxi was particularly light on its axles, I could see out of all the windows, and swmbo in the back seat wasn't muffled at all. It took me a while but I realised that this show was different in that I only came away with four carrier bags, and I had to BUY gear for three of them. What happened to those halcyon days when you couldn't walk between the stalls without carrierr bags being thrust upon you, full of freebies- keyrings, pens, drinks coasters, mini torches and the like. I noticed this year that a certain yachting mag running a competition had the pens for filling in the forms firmly attached to stout painters. Bought a book at KH and was given some cra**y little keyring - the sort of thing they tag you with in hospital - wouldn't put it in a cracker!
Nostalgia's not what it used to be.

Hmmmmm,
My recollection is of lots of pretty girls asking me to do competitions, try a free sample, win a holiday, have a new credit card etc. etc.
Bit of a nuisance actually when I was trying to at the boats and equipment.

Pop! Gosh it's morning, time to get up and make the tea!
