Am I having my leg lifted as a friend keeps telling me my hardback copy of "Shrimpy" by Shane Acton is worth over £100?

Not unless it is a signed copy.
Amazon at the moment £35 - £65 for a hard copy.

It's out of print, and only had a small print run anyway, so it's value is constantly being increased by desparate yotties who want a copy to display on their boat

Somewhere on the Interweb (and I'm afraid I have lost the link) you can download a pdf of the text for free, though it's clearly not out of copyright, so it may have been taken down by Acton's Publisher or heirs (if there are any). If it's still out there, someone else on here may be able to supply it?

That ain't written by Shane Acton, it just has a short precis of his voyaging with comments - along with dozens of "comparable" voyages.
