There I am on a mooring not 50m from the entrance of the Council estate & out comes the Merry Fisher "Sunshine Sally". Hidden in the shadows of the greenhouse is a familiar figure dimly visible thro the shaded glass. I stand in the cockpit & wave.


And the Major drives blindly by, not noticing the visiting raggie or bothering to read my foot high dodger lettering - perhaps it's worse than I thought, maybe he can't even read foot high letters a 50m? Or is it a consequence of being tucked up inside a glasshouse & out of contact with the real world?


Not to worry, I decided, I shall eat my dinner & catch him on the way back. No chance: the stuck up occifer went straight past me again, despite my waving wildly in the cockpit. Not much chance of getting a free drink if you won't even say hello to the other ranks, yer know.

Tom was another one ploughed imperiously past on his stately way South with a few crew on board & completely missed seeing me. Is it something I said, are you all afraid of the lurgy I am just recovering from. Or are you just so sure that nothing ever moves arounf PD so you don't check out what's around you?

I was on a Merry Fisher 925 that left the lock behind Little Ship, not the council estate, but we turned right and headed to Bangor where she is now for sale.

We overtook Sunshine Sally at Plas Newydd.

Tom's SWMBO was driving Little Ship with a friend in attendance. Tom was probably below breaking out the ship's bond stores once they had left port.

Nah Searush, Sunshine Sally belongs to Phil 2 Bottles, hence the bemused response to your gesturing. He was intent on amusing himself by giving us a load of wash and circling us, a favour we were more than willing to return later!
Well at least we spotted you outside PD, nice to see you mixing with the lower ranks!
