Got given a " Mini B300 ILS" EPIRB by some of the family.
Made by ACR.
Frequency is 121.5 MHz

The book of words implies that it will be obsolete by 2009.
I have a recollection that there are two frequencies.. which is the better.
I also think that one of these units has a potentially long time before the signal is picked up..scarcity of satellite passes?

Dunno how much it cost but should I swap it for the other frequency type unit??

BTW while all U lot were sailing and gorgeing yourselves, I've been laid up with some sort of food poisoning since Xmas morning. No Lunch or 71st b'day party food on the 26th either..
But the time was well spent with Wicked's laptop and Nigel B'd CDroms planning next year's cruises.. ( between visits to the porcelain trombone)
Thanks for saving my sanity guys.. Especially as I'm on antibiotics and off alc. for the next four days!!
Cheers Bob E..
