Shotley Penisular Open Weekend 27th 28th May

Shotly Point Yacht Club statment .... To encourage membership, we keep our fees very low (only £65 to Join, covers two adults and any children of the family, and £50 pa. there after); adopt a friendly, unstuffy and informal approach to sailing life, putting all our efforts into organising and running a full and varied programme of sailing, social and training events each year.

The Shipwreck bar & Resurant , meeting rooms & Hotel are all within the marina premises so members are welcomed to use that facility . Therefore the annual cost of SPYC membership is soly focused in organising and running sailing events 30+ this year. Thats the difference we dont own, lease or run costly premises ... they have a solid relationship with a great supporting marina and as such are able to focus on whats important to our members.... sailing.

One would say thats what makes SPYC unique boat owners or no owners you are more than welcome to come and experience any time.

it looks like SPYC is the place to be if you like sailing your boat and FMYC is the place to go if you like eating and drinking.

Although, if it is eating and drinking that you like, you could just use the Shipwreck or the Bristol Arms without paying a membership, or for a small fee join Shotley Sailing Club for cheap beer. Ahhhh, spoilt for choice :)

Someone remind me of the name of the free pub in Foxs please ?
