I'm not exactly sure but I believe it's a Scorpion Fish. I've seen them around the UK coasts whilst diving.

Thanx WUNJA and WINGDIVER. Had been told it was probably a GURNARD but it certainly looks like the SCORPION fish in the pic. Luckily for him i didnt have a clue before i picked him out of the Lock!!

It looks a bit like a scorpion fish - did you find my sunglasses?

davidfox - One pair of sunglasses found with one arm missing and in a pretty poor state. Hope you've now invested in a buoyancy strap!!!

Just as well he didn't get you. I was stung by one of his exotic cousins in the Gulf. Hurts like hell and can be fatal if you get a bad reaction.
