We are in the process of buying a 34ft cat on the Isle of Wight and are hoping to be able to sail around the Solent for a few weeks before heading back to Dartmouth. Can anyone suggest anywhere (pref on the mainland) which might offer us a few weeks (say 4 to 6 ?) with walk-ashore and electricity at an affordable price ? Full tide would be great but half tide would also be fine (draught about 3 ft). Just hoping there might be the odd berth around as people haul out/in.

TIA
Penny

Is Chichester too far? If not them Thornham marina springs to mind.

As well as the marinas, I'd ask Gosport Boatyard, Quay Lane Boatyard, Wicor, Lauren Marine, Hayling YotCo,

You might get a berth on a monthly basis at winter rate in Haslar Marina until the end of March. It's worth giving them a call.

Thank you all for your suggestions. Despite research, some of them were simply not on the radar - could be something to do with having a 6 foot keel for the last 22 years ! New perspective from now on, we hope assuming it all goes well. Hope to see some of you around the Solent - or in Dartmouth - this year.

Ocean quay or kemps both on the Itchen. The latter half tide mostly and no electricity mostly.
