Shore power and battery charging

I'm installing a shore power socket on my 23 ft sportscruiser and will be fitting a 2 way consumer unit with RCD. One circuit will power a battery charger and the other will feed a twin 13a socket in the cabin.

I just want to keep my batteries in good condition and to be able to run my 12 v fridge overnight on the rare occasions when I will be in a marina.

My question is, what make of charger can charge/maintain and supply the fridge as well?

I think a 15 amp one will be sufficient as the batteries are never run down and fridge use will be intermittent. Thanks

I believe my older boat a 33ft motor boat only had a 8 or 12 amp installed. as you say its intermittent and when you need peak demand it will just pull from the battery

Sterling chargers (Pro Charge Ultra 10A-60A (12V - 48V) (5yr Warranty)) seem to be the most commonly fitted - but they are not cheap. They are quite sophisticated devices that should maximise the life expectancy of your batteries.

Thanks for your replies. I've been looking around and this small charger looks good as it's ip65 rated.
Only 8 amps but as it is really only for maintaining the charge and supplying the fridge occasionally it seems to fit the bill

My similar sze boat has the same consumer unit as yours and powers the battery charger and immersion heater. The fridge is 12v only. I only connect to the mains when staying on board overnight in a marina. No solar or wind charging. I have two 170ah batteries (only one is in use when the engine is not running) and my CTEK M200 15amp charger which I fitted 3 years ago is certainly adequate.
