I have a serious amount of boaty type shopping to do (lines, fenders, socks [fender], liferaft, other bits and pieces) so where would you go on the South Coast to get this stuff at the best price. Having searched for rope I have not found any really good deals that would persuade me to go anywhere other than local chandelry. Whilst on subject any recommendations regarding liferaft 6 man valise?
What about boat jumbles any good ones coming up?

<font color=blue>Take a fist fully of pennies and attend the Beulieu Boat Jumble. You will get everything there. Skip buying the fender socks, they wear through in eleventytwo seconds, trap the grime and rub your hull and generally look tatty anyway. Use the money saved to buy some extra Whiskey in case you bump into Pheran.

Send me the list I will get you VAT free prices on all of it then you can, if the price is right, bring your car over on one of condors day return cheapies and go home with a boot full. Can even bring the car over empty and fill it with cheap fuel.

Beaulieu boat jumble definitely best for rope especially if you're not too fussed about lengths. Re liferaft you have to decide whether you need full house ocean design with insulated floor, double tubes and loads of water and food etc etc or whether you only really need a stripped down offshore one. You can pay anything from £700 to £2000
I bought a £800 Plastimo one recently and, fortunately, I can't tell you whether it's any good
