This might be a stupid question but here goes anyway,is it possible to plug a suitcase generator into my shore power socket to run chargers and lights when away from the marina, the genny is a 1300 watt or will the draw be to much or just blow my self up?

Yes, but...

Is it a good quality generator (eg Honda Eu20i), i.e. is the output regulated and smoothed? Whatever it is it will work for lights and probably battery chargers, but you may have problems with electronics e.g. computers if the output is not a good 'sinewave'.

Regards,

Jerry

Simply check the wattage of all the appliances you intend to use. Add up watts, if more than 1300, then BANG!

But its a frighteningly expensive way of producing electricity long term!
