jfm - Does that intensity of light attract any marine life / fish at night? Can only imagine how fun it would be.

They sure do for us. Great way to entertain kids for hours on end in the evening

You certainly could do that if you wanted. But I totally don't get the point of it - there is zero chance of a material leak if you drill the hull and seal it with polyurethane and a solid disc being the light. I just don't see what people get excited about when it comes to drilling their hull (when it is already full of holes)
