Campbells Grocery Products Production will cease in Norwich - thats where the Fray Bentos pie comes from. (Anglia TV news)

Far better to have it made abroad and import, no hassel with H&S etc.
Birds Eye are moving to Germany, one of the last manufactures in Falmouth is moving to Poland or one of those ex Eastern block states. It also appears that we have around 100 Polish and other eastern block EU works in Falmouth docks, why ? because we have no welders, electricians or chippies in Falmouth.
Where are we going as a Nation ??

More likely due to difficulty in making food in the UK and make a reasonable return, unless your market is predominantly non-supermarket.

They are hard task masters, made worse by salesmen who say yes to promotions and price reductions because they are judged on sales volume rather than profitability.

Don't happen to be a fan of their pies though, especially after the last one that I had to scrape of the cabin floor!

Before. Forgot oven was still gimbolled and opened the oven door. Oven then assumed its natural geometry and out shot the pie.

Still ate it though.
