I refuse point blank to say that we ever agree on anything

You've no idea how reassuring this is to me

Sorry Tome , but you started this thread off so well and although I expected others to degenerate it , I didn't think you'd degenerate your own thread with such a petty comment . We seem to fall out so frequently for no reason , why do it again .

In case you wanted to keep in touch by easier methods , I stopped up till well after 5 AM last night using e mails over and over to show John how to work some software that allows him to keep in touch in real time , and when I spoke to him earlier he was talking about using the same software on board , apparently Helen likes the idea and his son uses the same software , so at least you'll be able to chat with him now . He's a great bloke with a lot of helpful information in his head that he's quite happy to give away

Those Nasty New Zealanders have made fools of our brave lads on the rugby field yet again and goodness knows what is going to happen to English Cricket this winter - one of them has come home with stress at the prospect of playing without raising a bat in anger.
So good riddance says I and I think we should call for a ban on all Australian and New Zealand forumites.
We could of course have a separate forum forem?

[/ QUOTE ]

Don't want to be rude but if you banned everyone who has beaten the English Rugby team in the last few years it would be a very very small forum.

Yeap another nasty Kiwi. Me and Ships_Cat doing a tag team thing /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

You can make us smile easily you know. Hold the Ashes and kick the Aussies again, hard and as often as you like, we do /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Mind you it's getting that easy these days it's a bit boring now /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

do like the 'forum forem' very nice /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Re: Ships_Cat is rumbled

Having been born to Scottish parents - this is where I nip smartly back over the border - slam they English jessies and catch my nuts on the fence once more.

I think the current All Blacks are probably the best unit we've seen for a few years - perhaps better now than England were at this point prior to the World Cup and with tremendous strength in depth. Whatever your allegiance they are a joy to behold - except of course when playing Scotland.

Refusing to agree on anything as a matter of principle is a bit grown-up, no? Add to that you fantasized about me putting you on some ignore list a couple of days back and mix in some pretty silly posts meantime, get the drift?

But hey, it's only virtual on here and you should learn to take my posts with a more liberal dash of salt and a drop less vinegar

Hope that answers your PM which was along the same lines

Cheers
Tom

Again not wanting to be rude but 'probably better'??

I'm obviously a bit one eyed but would put large money on the fact this current AB team (or teams, we seem to have a few) would kick the behind of any national team we have ever seen before, previous AB teams included and the last English World cup squad.

44 points on the team rated no. 2 last week and the AB's reckon they had an 'off' game. Will be interesting to see what happens tonite with the French or when they stop play with heads and field the full noise team.

To be able to swap out 5-10 players each time and still slaughter very good teams with reasonable ease shows this lot to be a step ahead of anything we have seen before.

Now of course they just have to keep it up and watch out for the AB World Cup VooDoo /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Mind you the coach and co are good ones this time.

Mind you the World Cup is one event every 4 years so that doesn't say much about anything really. Sadly the last winner has shown that it's easy to be a one-event wonder but not so to stay world class for the 4 years in between.

Not a fan of the World Cup structure if you did not notice /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Am of Scotland though, Hagis excluded /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Re: Ships_Cat is rumbled

Perhaps better it is at present. They haven't won the World Cup yet. At this point prior to the last comp England were putting in some fairly devastating performances with a squad that had strength in depth.

I'm no great admirer of the World Cup either - its not the same as returning to the Olympics as the Champion - not unless you play the identical team that won the previous competition.
In terms of the Greatest Team - I don't know how you could judge that one - there have been so many great NZ teams and players.
I was playing in the early 70's and for me any team that could field Sid Going, Ian Kirkpatrick, Bob Burgess, Joe Karam and that weebugger Grant Batty had to be considered one of the best - shame about Murdoch he could have been wonderful if his head had been put on the right way round.
