Shipping Forecast Voice

Tired but cant sleep, thought I would tune into the soporific tones of Lady Shipping Forecast and she is not there... Pah!
How long has the chap been doing the shipping Forecast?
I Have not listened for a while /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif where has the nice lady gone? not sure I like 'his' voice. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif
 
The person reading the SF seems to change, particularly in the morning. It looks like its one of those things where Joe Public can ring up the BBC and say 'Can I do the SF please' and the BBC goes come on in...

Next time (which thankfully doesn't happen very often),I shall make sure I have night cap /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif on standby /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif but, sods law will probably prevail, again - as usual.

It was a woman doing it on the 20th, cant work out what the whole thing means but nice to listen to /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
 
Better than countng sheep /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif, unless you are about to be or are already out there..of course!
 
Well would you believe it....Radio 4 News feature Item Now....
It has been used in Northern Club music which will be played in a few minutes ..
 
'The Young Punks' band . Only a short soundbite so cant get a good feel for it, what I heard was more 'Funky Trumpton' arrangement (what were the Friemen Called? rather than Clubbin - interesting none the less.
