Could someone advise or recomend quickest way to get a 20kg tote box shipped to Faro please, would prefer to send via a fellow forumite who drives there............duly rewarded of course!

I have just sent a smaller box to the Algarve via Worldwide parcels, only just sent so not arrived.

Have a look at "Interparcel", various cost/time options. Have used them several times to Faro (Bruce's yard).

I've used Parcel2Go which is basically Parcel Post and sent a 28kg (cost around £60) box to both Faro (bruces yard) and Cagliari (del sol) with no problems - OTHER than the fact you can't sent paint or aerosols.

Thanks for the guidance, gents. It had paintsas well , due to the ridiculous prices out there in Portugal.

That's only if you tell them it's paint. Gaffer tape the lids down well to avoid leakage.

FYI - I added the info on paint and aerosols 'cos my box was gaffer tapped up to the gunnels but the b*stards Xrayed it. When it didn't arrive in Cagliari I found it was still in the warehouse in Southampton. Had to get a good friend to go and take the offending articles out and re-send. Beware !!! For antifoul I use EU45 (see their web site) where they will ship to anywhere in Europe free (well it's included in the price)....and I have found it works well in Med.waters.

I once sent a whole silver cross pram via parcel2go.com - highly recommend them for door2door large parcels.

So that it couldn't catch fire, explode, poison or otherwise hazard the plane and the poor sods that flew it to Portugal, or cause the burning aeroplane to land on a hospital or school (because they always do that, according to the meeja).
