Hello friends !

My DP-E leg is slightly leaking around the shift actuator and taking a bit of water .

Please forgive my ignorance since i come from a bravo drive and new to volvos :

Is changing the seal a straight forwand job or do i underestimate it , do i need to readjust the shift settings on the cone clutch ?

I,m technically ~ proficient but no knowledge to this leg .

Best regards

Sure the experts will be along in minute, however if its similar to the shifts on older outdrives it is simple job to do, not requiring any adjustments afterwards.

There is a small roll pin holding the spigot in the round section on the shift quadrant you tap it inwards and then you can pull out the pin. Then you tap the round bit on a flat surface and the roll pin will fall out to be reused as it sits in the pin and not the round bit, note the depth before so you can tap it back in far enough. The seal has to go in the right way as one edge has a steel edge , its on the instructions with the seal. The shift shoe is slightly offset to one side so make sure its located correctly when it sits in the groove in the clutch. There are no adjustments other than making sure its in neutral before you attach the gear wire.
