it's taken a long time, but my old osborne is finally out of the water.

she looks much better than i thought she would blocked in the yard, thanks to a good steam off.

now the work starts...

i'm going to keep a webpage up to date..... as was origionally planned..... so if you're interested... watch this space ... as they say.

About time, my kingswift will be worn out, before we can meet at sea at this rate.

been a bit busy with the boat, got plenty of pics, so as soon as i get sorted i'll upload.

update.

all interior stripped out, whole boat is tarpaulined over, heating installed and she's nearly dry.

only small local repairs to do to two areas of the deck. the wheelhouse foor has been removed for rebuild, iv'e decided to remake the whole thing in preference to repair. spent all last week aboard working, so as you can imagine i got loads done, the interior is already ready for refitting, i'm installing celotex insulation on the hull sides, before re carpeting. the cabin floor is to be re laid, and then finished with some high quality hardwood laminate floor, this will give a nice contrast to the pine T&G finish on the deckhead, and bulkheads.

i have had to call in the experts for one repair, the mahogany sides have some rot, it may be possible to do a local repair and make it good, but i may take the opertunity to have the sides remade, this will allow me to reposition the windows so that the WC bulkhead doesn't cut across the glass... maybe a smaller window ing the galley, and a porthole in the WC??

any way, a good week, plenty of photo's. web site is pending, so ass soon as it's ready i'll post the link.

next jobs include removing the old engines, wiring, and controls for overhaul and making ready for the new engines.

i'll try to keep you posted of any interesting bits i find. thanks for your interest.

Steve, dont forget the weight, to mutch and getting on the plane is more difficult. I'm
shure you havent, but will your diesels give you enough grunt to make her plane.
