First, the difference in oil types. R3X is a 250hrs oil, and the RT4 is a 500 hr oil (between servicing)

Second, R3X for £46/20 ltrs and RT4 for £47/20 ltrs

Available for collection next week from Yeovil.

A friend of mine owns a company called Black Dog Marine, based in Looe. We were having a conversation the other day about RT4 because I've just bought 40l here in Jersey. He mentioned that his price for RT4 was £2.02 per litre.

Might have been a mates rates price in which case he'll probably now kill me but might be worth talking to him.

No probs, Terry. I keep a numbver of 4ltr cartons for decanting so I keep enough on board - in case. All the best.

Another option which I use is Specialised Products in Ringwood - again do small or large amounts and delivered free locally. ALso if you quote the tech spec to them they will tell you the cheapest they have - they do a lot of own brand. They also sell pink coolant concentrate at a good price

Hi LionsDen. I buy my Rimula direct from what used to be Shell Direct and is now Emo Oil. It comes in 20 ltr drums and you have to buy a minimum of 100 ltrs, but it's delivered free to your door.

As a guide, the last time I checked, a drum of RCX 15-40 was 41.60, RCX 40 was 48.40. Plus VAT.
