Any suggestions for a yottie pressure cooker?

Domestic ones are too big on storage and for the itsy-bitsy stove, and the sticky-out handles take a lot of space in lockers.

Is anything smaller available and recommended? Yes, I've Googled, but only found shorter versions of full-size ones, and something German which is priced well above reality.

Ken,
a subject dear to me heart this closed season.
We saw the perfect one in Germany at 4.5 litres, no sticky out bits - but 165 euros.
Have hada 2.5 litre american thing, but it was too small.

This week in Aldi they have a 5 litre non sticky out at £39.99 and we have taken the plunge.

Time will tell if this is the right choice, but it ticked my boxes.

Pressure cooker

Yes lakeland used to sell a small one - bought mine a stainless steel one from there and find it the ideal size for i or two but alas they no longer sell it just big ones. Amazon used to sell them too but out of stock now - not a lot of help I know but....
I believe mine was made by butterfly http://www.butterflyindia.com/stainless_steel_pressure_cooker_ATB.html# they do 3l and 5l sizes They say they export to UK - just a question of finding a stockist.

I've got a 3 litre 'Butterflyelite'. It's got sticky out handles but they're only held on by a big phillips headed bolt so I take them off to stow it in the locker. It was about £55 from a kitchen shop. Done bugger all to improve my cooking but as I haven't blown the boat up yet it seems safe enough to use...:D

Small pressure cookers

Available from Robert Dyer are 3L pressure cookers by Butterfly, they are stainless steel ideal for the boat and I have had one on board for 10 years. It is a first class product at a cost of about £40.

Hawkins is the name for small pressure cookers. Made in India they are. Sizes down to 1.5 litres. I have a 3l one which is light enough to meet trimaran specification.

Lots available in India, differing makes/sizes/prices but I was unable to find one without handles!

Opted for a 'known' name......Prestige........a 3 litre jobbie with base cross section ideal for stove. About £11.

I have an old 'Skyline' pressure cooker which doesn't have a sticky out handle. They are defunct now but you might be able to pick up a 2nd hand one.

i think we also have one of them, you have to quarter turn the knob in the middle to release the clamp and take the lid off, ideal size for the boat hob, and no long handles, only the small stubby ones each side of the pan, and integrated gasket on the lid.

Good little pan for cooking joints of beef and chicken, without waiting for a couple of hours, also saves on gas, due to quicker cooking action.
