I was watching an account by a retired undercover police officer who had been part of ensuring the arrests of dozens of people and a whole gang network (in Wolverhampton) I think. It was a massive operation, and he said the news he got afterwards was that they had successfully interrupted the supply of cocaine and heroin to the city by two hours.

Slightly depressing.
