Sheaves, by jeeves

Rooting around in the attic for something else, I unearthed the sheaves below, which are - as far as I can ascertain - unused. They're Harken 4 ½" ( 518? ) and 6" ( 716? ) spare sheaves. The thingy in the middle has a titanium cage and I guess it was not intended for a Cutlass 27....

Given the advances in clever uses of Dyneema, Dynex Dux, Vectran and even PBO, what can the team suggest I could usefully make up using these items of boaty jewellery....?

Sod the jewellery, what exquisite pieces of engineering. I'd love something like that complete unit as a desk paperweight. I'm guessing you spin it, go and make a cuppa and it will still be going...
