Brian, I see in the news that you are going to breed Noah's Arks in test tubes over there. Test tube babies - maybe they will think the lab staff are their mums and dads and follow them around.

Think you also have a Great White Shark over there that follows golf balls around the golf course?

See bigger sharks at times here from the boat, but never close (unless on fishing line or having taken a caught fish on the way up) and never been followed by one that I have seen (except in the streets of Oz).

Have seen a number of outboard motors that have been attacked by sharks. On one occasion, on a MoBo, was hauling the anchor up by hand and a big Mako shark had a tug of war match with me all the way up, he swinging on the other end 'til got to surface.

All over the place out here. Sometimes if you're trolling a line and you catch something decent e.g. Kingfish or small tuna, then you can often find your potential dinner gets nabbed by a mako or bronzy or hemmerhead before you can reel him in. Sometime you can see the dorsal homing in on it's target whilst you frantically try to slow the boat down and reel in!

The other week just outside Gulf Harbour marina the Etchells were having their Nationals..... a mate's boat was unintentionally trailing a few metres of red line. When they noticed they starting pulling it in and just as the last bit came out of the water.... WHAM.... out jumped a mako chasing the end of it. He slammed into the side of the Etchell and his teeth left scratch marks on the hull. Put me off swimming around there for a few days!
