Totally disagree this dog in the manger attitude. Fortunately, in over 15 years as a live-aboard (12 of which overseas) we rarely, if ever encounter, this situation.

Given the length of time at this game we usually give much more than we get & intend to continue to do so.

Back to the OP, we find a thread on this & other forums will usually provide all of the info we require but some places Lagos - Portugal, for example, provide a very useful service with a bulletin board for questions

Completely agree Riviona/peter is obviously one to avoid. All others welcome. I have been cruising for 20 years and have never heard such complete crappie from a fellow liveaboard

Lovely chat with a German super yacht captain yesterday, near Pollensa is a bay called Al Canada (insert your own accent thingies, my iPads not that clever..) according to him it beats Cala Calobra hands down. Likewise Cala Murta which is close to Forementor.

Lots of information also kindly given on Minorca, will post when we actually visit recommended places (and any discoveries along the way) next week .

After that its unknown, exciting, times - Sardinia, got the north sussed but only visited a couple of places on the south. Then south coast of Sicily, only familiar with Catania.

If anyone wants to share I'll spring for another tube of rolos.

Been updating the CruisersWiki, http://www.cruiserswiki.org, for Sardinia, also changed the format a bit so that navigation is at the top and tried to get rid of some of the carp. Not finished yet cos we're on the way to Olbia up the E coast, next stop an anchorage just south of Arbatax...

Edit:
I've also concentrated on the S for now, given the way the pages are laid out you'll find references to anchorages up to 40 Nm from the page in either direction.

Thanks RobbieW, have been updating CAptains Mate but will have another look at the wiki.

Molo Brin, Olbia - previously a free wall to tie up to is no longer available due to massive construction. This information is from friends we cruised with there last year and have just passed through again a month ago. You can, however, still anchor in the bay. You can also take your dinghy right over to where the supermarket is (to the south of molo Brin, just under the flyover) makes for very easy carting back of groceries. There's also a large shopping/supermarket complex about 10 mins taxi ride going north which is near the airport. Happy travels, windy there isn't it?

Trouble with Captains Mate is that your input becomes CA proprietary information (and you need an iThingy). Knew about the wall at Olbia, perhaps from an earlier post of yours this year.
