What type of propshaft seal do you have? A photo would help. If it is the traditional stuffing box type it should be adjusted so when underway it should drip several times per minute. When in port, screw down the greaser to inject more grease to stop the drips.

Hi , not at the boat at the moment , but it’s a water cooled if that helps .
Not really. There are 3 main types. The traditional stuffing box which uses packing and grease to seal, but is adjustable by compressing thee packing. Lip seals which are nt adjustable and any drips suggest worn seals. Face seals which rely on a ring attached to the shaft rotating against a fixed ring. adjustable in the sense that they are mounted on bellows which need to bet set a specific pressure. Drips on these may either be worn or damaged faces or insufficient pressure on the bellows. All can be water cooled.
