Shaft locking screw fixed ...

Managed to find a service guy to fit an insert into the outboard mount to lock the shaft in ahead position. The thread had stripped in the cheap ally.

The insert is better than the original !! and shaft is absolutely locked now when tightened ... previously it was just stiff !!

All for £3 and took guy about 30 mins to fix.

So this weekend - back on river again !!

The other thing is often if they can't find the bit etc. - they will make it.

I had a Opel Senator that the headlight level motor didn't work ..... the small connector rod made of metal insert into a plastic rod sheered ... so the guy made one in brass from a bolt ! Better than original and all for less than a fiver !
