I have bought an old sextant and despite cleaning up which I have done, it needs proper servicing and calibration. I have tried a lot of places andthrough chandlers and other instrument sellers and cannot find a company to do the work.

Any clues please?

Thanks

Be careful with Robinsons. I left some mirrors for re-glazing and can't get any response from Robinsons after many months. Probably cheaper to give up and buy new in the USA than waste time driving from London to see if the shop is still in business! Obviously I am not implying anything wrong here, just poor service.

/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gifDoes anyone know of anywhere in the West Country or the Midlands (or anywhere in between) that can calibrate and service a Tamaya sextant for me. I have just bought it ebay and it looks OK but I want to get it checked out before I start using it.
