sexist outboard motor?

I have a Suziki 3.5 which will start every time with a cord wound around the pully on top of the engine, four times,I'm glad it will work this way as the recoil starter is a bloody awful, I stripped greased and rebuilt, still bad, what I think it is, is the way the pull cord is routed, it comes from the starter and immediately sweeps up higher to come out through the lower cowling. Creating a load of friction, you could drill a hole lower then exsisting hole, even join the holes togeather to form a slot, so it gives anyone male or female, depending on there wrist and stance a smooth action, not forgetting that you have to pull out so much slack before that grand pull, placing your other hand on the engine hood.
I think they are great little engines, even my 3.5 HP is light, I also have two Yamaha 2hp, which are very light, but only on days when the river Medway is calm,as with a 3/4 wind strength I'm unable to control my 9ft dingy.
