Yacht runs aground near Seven Sisters and Birling Gap | The Argus “At approximately 4am today, July 25, HM Coastguard were alerted to a sailing vessel with one person on board dragging anchor and running aground off the coast of Newhaven."

Doesn't look like the boat of a novice prone to simple mistakes, unless exhausted perhaps, so would be interesting to know what sort of anchor he used. Could have a thread all about it.

And an updated article saying it won't float off so they're going to drag it across the rocks ? At least it looks like a metal hull Yacht that ran aground near Seven Sisters remains | The Argus

Looks like the yacht that left Hull a few weeks ago with the new owner heading over to the USA

Been told that yes left hull few weeks ago heading for US, had problems and was single handed, beached and taken off and ok, currently awaiting salvage/ recovery. It’s a very robust steel boat, sad for the new owner who has spent much time getting it ready to go
