Poolbeg marina, right in the heart of Dublin city.
What a super trip!
You've allowed enough time that, given half reasonable weather, (i.e. not like the last couple of years) you should be able to do a lot. Concentrating on the west coast of Scotland seems to me entirely sensible (but I'm biased). Orkney, too, is brilliant. I hesitate to offer advice, but, FWIW, I would get to the good bits ASAP, i.e. avoid as far as possible detours like the Welsh coast and even (whisper it) the Clyde, unless you're ahead of schedule. You could spend many happy years exploring the Hebrides, Outer and Inner, so it's going to be a question of just trying to sample the best.
The isle of man is well worth a visit, and peel is a good stepping stone in the irish sea.
