I am thinking of upgrading to a Sessa Oyster 34. The boat is 10 years old with twin Mercruiser diesels. Does anyone have any experience with this make and can make comment?
I've got a 35 (same boat bigger bathing platform) with volvo's. 2002 model, had since new. I'd definitely buy another Sessa if I were in the market. They've come a long way recently and I was told that if you include all their models they are the biggest by volume boat builder in Europe?
Brilliant sea keeping and the finish in the plumbing and wiring dept is better than most. The layup is substantial and if you take the weight as an indication of layup strength, again I believe it's up there with the best.
It can be a wet ride in the cockpit.
I've no complaints and not had any problems outside normal mechanical (volvo) wear and tear. We've done 850 hours in 7 years and use it in all weather. All fixtures and fittings still look new and the gelcoat is perfect.
I had a Princess V42 with twin Merc 250 Ds and other than normal services in the 5 years I had it the only part that I replaced was 1 injector. Never missed a beat really.
