Booked my F33 with KAD32s in for a service yesterday with a main VP dealer and was quoted £2,k which includes the lift out and bacin again.

Out of interest is this the normal going rate?

Lift Out, Pressure Washer Storage, Lift back in Approx £300 - £350
Engines Service including Belts Filters etc Approx £400 Each
Legs £250 Each - £400 Approx Each if Bellows need Changing.
All Plus VAT.

Not sure of cost's if your on Shafts, but probably less the the legs costs.

Ask what there hourly rate is as well, and whether it a qualified engineer or the yard boy that doing the work.

Subject to your location there Guys on here that can help.

Best Of Luck

The first thing I would do is check exactly what their definition of an 'engine service' is, some people have some quite different ideas.

At that price I would be expecting the lot - belt changes (not just a check) engine and compressor oil change, all filters (air, fuel, oil and crankcase) and tappet clearence checks.

For the outdrive it would be leg off, clean and antifoul transom shield and leg, oil change, new bellows and refit. Check propellors.

I hope this is of some help, it might also help if you were to say where your boat is located as some peeps on this forum might be able to help or recommend some one in your area.

Do it yourself, engines do not need lift out, drives ca be done in dry dock at Hurlingham Yacht Club in Putney. You can do the tidal bit now. Dry dock is cheap, plenty of people about to give advice re-legs service etc.
