What is involved in a "full service" of a KAD32 and how much should it cost (ex VAT).

I ask this not because I think I am paying too much, more that a friend thinks it should be more expensive - he's not a Volvo engineer by the way.

Thanks

Martyn

In the med you will pay ££££ more as you dont have the choice of engineers, and maybe they talk to each other to sew the costs up.

I am servicing the same engines tomorrow on the Thames at Bray, all filters, belts, impellers and oils etc, for a lot less than the uk vp dealers charge.

PM me if you want to know what im charging as its not fair to publish what im charging another forum member, trust you understand why.

Though to travel to Majorca is a different story!

I've been trying for yonks to post text from a word document but the column fornatting gets screwed up.

Anyway attached is a zip file of the parts and prices Ive prepared for servicing a pair of KAD 32's and DPE sterndrives that I hope to help carry out on a T30 in Mahon next May.
You will have to allow for a couple of days labour plus any antifouling requirements for the sterndrives and transom shields.

Eddie

(hope this zippy thing works!)

Guess it didn't work!! :-(

I had these engines in my Regal. The upkeep is very simple and easy to learn, plus you can buy the same filters from a truck supplier. I bought the same, and I mean the same, oil and fuel filters for a quarter of the cost. They're very easy to fit yourself.
