Service Costs ??

We have an F33 with Volvo Kad 32dps and my previous source of cheap servicing is no longer an option. Anyway, got a quote from a Volvo firm to do the boat : complete service/belts/oils/fluids etc and evrythink else as per the manual and legs, bellows and so on for £1200 plus vat. Includes travel time on two separate visits but not travel hoist.

I expect another quote to come in soon, and wondered what forum members price experiences of servicing by 'dealer/manufacturers agents' were like by comparison. Hope to hear from you. Roy

cheap, when I had a 33, paid nearer 2 grand both times for the works with annodes and oil and bellows. Quote was less but you know how it all adds up. I Must learn to DIY

Does the cost include the tappets? If so and it includes the legs then it's very cheap for a V*lv* agent.

Thanks Phil - I too, need to learn some more, to do the basics but right now I am a bit scared to dabble in case I eff it up and still have to get an expert in after all. Appreciate your comments re the price - perhaps services are cheaper up here due to competition between dealers for fewer boats compared with some parts of England where, perhaps they can charge more??

Hello Kev - yes it includes everything, although i am supplying the belts - previously bought for about £150. Its a well known Glasgow Volvo Marine firm that have quoted and I think the next quote will be a bit less again... Will let you know. Roy
