Low Loader Lorry driver seriously injured bus passengers also hurt
It was on East Mersea Road, West Mersea, not East Road, East Mersea. Careless reporting
Nasty bend that, worse than it looks in the image. The low loader would need to take a bit of the other side of the road. Not pleasant. Hope the driver is going to be ok. Clearly he is not very well and I guess most of his passengers would have been getting on in years as well.
Bad enough do you think for the thing to have already (partly ?) fallen off the low loader and been obscured by the lorry cab from the bus driver approaching from here

GRP more likeWho knows. It would be uphill for the low loader so you would not normally expect it to be going fast. But who knows. The buses zip along as well. Poor driver would have just had a
thin piece of metal twix him and the lorry cab.
I assume the lorry was going round a l/h bend with a top heavy & poorly secured traction engine,
I'm not the most squeamish of people, but that article made me wince.
