Further to my post on cleaning a very dirty, slimey, stinky, limescale covered 14ft dayboat I can report the results.

Now I have no idea what they put in Cilit Bang lime and grime as I have never used it before but two bottles and a couple of hours hard labour the bottom came up like new.

I tried two other limescale removers and they did not even come close..

It's good to read that it worked for you Richard, I've posted on the Forum before about Cilit Bang removing limescale on boat hulls and received lots of /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif. Useless in the kitchen but good at cleaning the boat (bit like swmbo). I can say that 'cause she's gone to bed. Please delete this post before the morning! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Have you got the URL?

I was looking for the ingredients of Harpic Toilet Cleaner, and could only find a Reckitts corporate web site.

Previous experience cleaning fenders, good idea to wear gloves if you have any cuts or open wounds on your hands !

now you tell me !! lol
4 hours 4 HOURS hard slog to clean me bottom, its ready for anti foul now being sensible I left boat in over winter and so had to get out to it while the tide was still up which helped the cleaning but wearing waders adds to the graft
