Just completed my Senior Instructor certificate at Alton Water. The course ran over two weekends starting at Bradwell three weeks ago. While on the course I met some lovely people, all ages and abilities and would reccomend anyone thinking of doing an RYA instructor course to go for it. The sense of achievment is worth every minute of the hard work put in before and during the course.
I think all the people on the course learnt so much, from sailing different types of boats, briefing and debriefing sessions, playing the role of SI, DI and students and reinforcing the RYA method.
Thanks must go to Rob from the RYA east for organising the course and also to the two coach assessors Mark and Kieron.....Thanks guys!
