This is my first posting on this Forum and this Boat is the third "Project Boat" I have worked on.
I bought a Senior 28ft Motor Boat on Ebay earlier this year from a Yacht Club in Canvey Island and bought it even before I saw it!.
This boat is quite unusual, as it is not the same as the Senior 26 Cruiser as there is a an extra 2ft of Aft Deck for the Fuel Tank and this one is Hydraulic Powered on Twin Shafts.
The Engine is a Leyland 650 6 cylinder Diesel Engine and drives a Volvo Flygmotor F10 Pump and pumps the Hydraulic Oil to a Valve Chest and each Prop shaft is controlled by a Lever which opens/closes the flow of Oil to the Shaft Drive Motor.
It was quite a learning curve to work this out and expensive replacing all the Hydraulic Hoses!, but after the first Sea Trials was impressed on the Power and the easy to control the Shafts.
Still loads of work needed inside and some repairs to complete on the ouside the Boat, but not in bad condition for a Boat been ashore for over 8 years.
