Hi,

I have a 2.7M Waveco inflatable and a 3.5hp Evinrude 4 stroke outboard that aren't suitable for the new boat so I need to sell them..

Plan is to stick them on eBay but would it be better (will I get more money) to sell them together as complete package or boat and engine separately?

Thanks..

Separately without a doubt. As a package you deter people who are only looking for one thing or the other.

You could always mention the other item in the ad. Eg I also have a dinghy/outboard for sale, please see my other items.

Interesting outlook. I'd have thought a package would sell quicker but concede breaking up may get you more. But that again depends on condition and subject. For instance I doubt breaking my boat would get as much in spares as a whole product and if the dingy is a few years old you may find it wont sell at all, but will command a higher price as a going concern with engine than engine alone. Personally I'd put it on as a job lot.

I'm currently looking for a new (to me) inflatable and keep finding the perfect item on ebay but being sold with outboard which I already have. Separate is better in my view.
