Good job. The owner should be greatful for you making fast a peice of rigging that may have become damaged. Did you leave him an invoice?!!
 
OMG, it's like Gok Wan never existed or something. No way would jfm have used blue and white material in 2011. :D

It's a bit of a bugger's muddle (only to be expected from a MoBo'er, I suppose) but I would still be pleased to find that my loose sails had been secured - after a fashion. Just as I expect you would if I had retied some frayed bits of string that were no longer holding you to your precious pontoon.

Searush, I had to read your post twice. My first interpretation was that you were comparing an ill-advised (IMHO) act with clear crimal damage, but of course you weren't.

Oh bugger it, I've just had blue and white striped cushions upholstered in the cabin, I hate to think Gok wouldn't approve.

I've bought some very chintzy Kath Kidston fabric for the curtains, do you think it will be ok?

And all the blue cordage is someone else's handiwork is it? Why a bowline anyway, a clove hitch would be much better as you can tighten the loop, and a bowline doesn't let you do that.

Oh, BTW, bites are what midges give you, a loop of rope is called a bight. But I hope you knew that, but can't manage your spell checker. :D
