I was wondering if any of you had sailed off over the horizon planning on being totally self-sufficient for a long voyage, but on a vegetarian diet? Could it be done, do you suppose? I know Moitessier took some little sprouting trays with him for fresh grub, but what else could feasibly be done aboard a standard yacht setting off in potentially hairy conditions? Yer regular earth-filled planters could be catastrophic in a capsize, and as for trailing runner beans up the mast...
