Hi, there used to be Hunter kit boats for sale with completed hull but finished by buying 'packs' so you could complete the build at your own pace. I think Hunter got bought out and don't appear to sell the kits now but does anyone know of similar kits available on the market? Thanks.

Just a reminder that you would have to be mad to build a boat when second hand are so cheap compared to new. However if you have the urge to build your own I can understand but if you just want a boat.....

There was a time when this was the way to go. I have a Dehler 22 (1984) and the majority (possibly all) were supplied as completed hulls with option kits to fit the boat out to whatever standard. Eventually it made no sense and the practice declined.

As Olewill says, there's not a lot of reason to do it these days unless you have a passion to do it for its own sake. If you are insistant then why not speak to the buiders. Given economic downturn, they might just do you a hull, but don't expect too much of a saving.
