Just taken my Genoa down for the first time since having the boat and as result have the opportunity to inspect the top sail carrier and bearings of the Furlex. There appears to be a set of stainless ball bearings running in cups and cones, top and bottom of the carrier. How should these be maintained, just spray in some Mclube? Is there any adjustment possible? The top has a plastic cover, but I cant see if it moves, pops off or unscrews to allow access to some adjustment.

From the manual:

15.2 Lubricating the halyard swivel
1. Bring the halyard swivel down to the sail feeder.
2. Press grease into the upper bearing through the recess E and into the lower bearing through opening F in the plastic cover.

I can see no diagram in the manual with E & F marked.

The maintenance instructions are in the Selden manual - you can download the one for your system from http://www.seldenmast.com/frameset.cfm?id=6618

There's no adjustment needed.

E & F are shown in illustration of Halyard swivel in 15.1 above

Thanks all. Apols for the wrong spelling - wrote it out in a hurry :o

So all in, it appears some suitable bearing grease squirted in through the access gap in both brgs is about it.
