Selden part for ID please

Whilst out sailing today there was a clatter subsequent to which I found a didgeridoo on deck. I know that it is a “Selden boom stop” from putting the part number in Google, see here: Selden, Stopper Assy Fln Boom - Southern Cross Spars

But I can’t see where it fits on the boom. Any ideas anyone?

I think that it is under the boom to stop any fittings in the groove from sliding out. strange that you havent found any set screws.

I think the screws must have gone overboard, we were lucky to rescue the fitting itself.

If the holes are not threaded there is probably a matching plate with threaded holes still in the groove. You will then just need a couple of suitable screws to refix it.
