Selden fixed pad-eyes

They come in 50, 60 and 72mm diameters. Is that the diameter of the hole or the base?
And can anyone tell me how thick the eye is?

I was thinking of using two of them, one on deck for an inner stay and one on the underside rigged to the keel to share the load.
