This is way outside my own sailing experience (sadly!).

It's a long, and irrelevant, story, but it comes down to these questions:

- what's the best way to sell one of these: http://www.extreme40.org/

- I'm guessing the usual media (ie Appolloduck, boatsandoutboards, etc) aren't appropriate in this case?

- It cost €400k but has never been used.

- it's currently in Holland

- any guesses about a reasonable asking price?

- what's the market like just now for this sort of thing?

- would you expect normal (ie 8% + VAT) type brokerage fees?

Any thoughts most gratefully received.

Is it like the one in the Thomas Crown Affair?

It's the up to date version essentially.

I used to think "what's the fuss?" but then I got buzzed at VERY close range by 3 of them training in the solent.
Unbelieveably quick, and enough of a hnadfull that even the world's top pro's keep flipping them.

To actually answer the question, surely the people running the extreme 40 series would be the best bet. They may know people wanting to form a team, or one of the existing teams needing a new boat. (I gather there were some big crashes this week)
